1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using myJotup, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

myJotup provides a free, online note-sharing platform that allows users to create, share, and view text-based notes. The service supports three note types: Plain Text, Markdown (with live preview), and Rich Text (with WYSIWYG formatting). Additional features include password protection, automatic expiration, AI-powered enhancement, voice dictation, Markdown rendering, and export to PDF, Word, or Plain Text formats.

3. No Accounts Required

myJotup does not require user registration or accounts. You may use the service anonymously. Because no accounts are maintained, we cannot link notes to individual users, recover deleted notes, or reset passwords for protected notes.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use myJotup to create, share, or store content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of privacy.
• Infringes on intellectual property rights or violates any applicable law.
• Contains malware, viruses, phishing links, or other malicious content.
• Is spam, excessively repetitive, or intended to disrupt the service.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to block access to users who abuse the service.

5. Note Expiration and Deletion

Notes may be set to expire automatically after a chosen time period (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days). Expired notes are permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered. We also reserve the right to remove notes that violate these Terms or that we determine to be harmful, without prior notice.

6. Rate Limiting and Fair Use

To ensure service stability, rate limits are applied to note creation, viewing, and AI-powered features. Excessive or automated use that disrupts the service is prohibited.

7. Exported Content

Files downloaded from myJotup (PDF, Word Document, Plain Text) are generated locally in your browser. We are not responsible for the content of exported files or how they are used after download. Rich Text notes may contain embedded images via third-party URLs; we do not host or validate these images.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

myJotup is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall myJotup or its operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, content, or access to notes.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The latest version will always be available at this page.
